Farid Shouekani

General Manager

Mr. Shouekani has more than 15 years of experience in corporate management, engineering and software development of communications system including wireless, switching, networking and VoIP. For the past decade Mr. Shouekani was working with Viper networks on building international network and cost effective services for the VOIP residential and commercial customers. Managed several national and international offices for the company and all the contracts for technical and commercial services engaged with the company. Mr. Shouekani has a strong experience in project development and software system design, as he developed a MS Windows based systems for welding robotic automation for the auto industry with Robotron, and several communications and controls projects. Mr. Shouekani has played a significant role in attracting investment to the company, cut cost, and sustain operation with the current economy. Mr. Shouekani has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Florida Tech.

Tom Otrok, PH.D.

President Of Intl. Operation

As an accomplished telecommunications industry veteran, Mr. Otrok’s leadership successes at the highest level have put him in the rarified air of being recognized as one of the industry’s most valued network solutions integrators in the world. From 1989-1996, Mr. Otrok was a key Member of Technical Staff for AT&T Bell Laboratories (a Lucent Technologies predecessor company), with leadership in 5ESS Global Public Network Architecture & 5ESS Performance, and responsibilities including end-to-end system engineering, project management, and developing architecture requirements for 5ESS-2000 and CDMA. Then in 1996-1999, Otrok accepted a position as Senior Manager for Network Implementation with Lucent Technologies (Middle East). Leading a team in excess of 500 staff members for building and implementation of Telephone Expansion of Wireless Networks, his responsibilities included Sales and Program Management of all resources required for successful deployment of a $6 billion network, which included Data, Optical, Wireless and Voice networks. In 1999, Lucent Technologies promoted Mr. Otrok to Executive Director of Operations (Middle East), where he lead a staff of over 1000 people for Building and Operations until 2004. Building a network that consisted of 5 million lines of GSM and 5 million land-lines, his responsibilities included Wireless Network Buildings and Operations, RF Design, Engineering, RF Integration and Optimizations, Network Planning and Integrations, and Network Performance and Reliability. These leadership positions with Lucent also included oversight in sales, software development, strategic planning and finance, both inside and outside the United States.

Ali Al-Qaraghuli, PH.D.

Director of Engineering

Engineering professional with more than 30 years of experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency applications and consulting. Strong academic background and broad technical knowledge in the field of renewable energy. Served as a consultant to many U.S organizations in the areas of PV system design and renewable energy applications in solar cooling and water desalination (2013-present). Worked as principal engineer dealing with renewable energy applications, PV system design, water desalination and science and technology partnerships at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL 2007-2013). Director of many Energy Centers such as the Energy Research Center (1998-2006 Bahrain), the Energy and Environmental Research Center (1997-1998 Iraq), and the Solar Energy Research Center (1993-1997 Iraq). Consultant and technical adviser in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency for the United Nations Environmental Program for West Asia (2006-2007 UNEP/ROWA, Bahrain). Consultant and technical adviser to the U.S. Department of State for the organization of the 1st and 2nd U.S-Iraq Solar Energy Conferences in 2009 and 2011. Have 13 contractual studies and consultations with Arab leagues, German, and U.S organizations, and author of more than one hundred publications, two books and four patents.

For over 20 years, Bassim Al Khafaji has been a leader in architecting and delivering global enterprise information technology platforms in diverse industries and sectors around the world. As a Global Technology executive and business visionary, Bassim has worked extensively in Capital Market, Asset Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Startups, New Ventures and Private Sector, with a strong record in creating robust IT architectures to support all aspects of the information systems delivery process. This includes the integration, transformation and adaptation of emerging technologies bringing the benefits of IT to solve complex business and products issues while adhering to industry standard rules, laws, regulations and frameworks.

Bassim has also held senior executive positions at various premier financial institutions in the role of Chief Information officer, Chief Information Security Officer and technology executive. These include: JP Morgan, HSBC, Nomura Securities International, Bankers Trust, First Union Capital Market, FFTW and BNP Paribas asset management. Additionally, he has worked in the wider private sector as an Executive Advisor on Information Technology and Emerging Technology as well as acting CIO, CTO and CISO.  In these roles, Bassim has a managed wide range of technology initiatives, integration programs, development efforts and robust growth strategies.

In 2011, Bassim founded a management consulting business specializing in capital sourcing for startup technologies and ventures, including; seed capital, direct investment and joint venture development with a business focus on emerging markets within the MENA region.

To this day, Bassim is a member of several advisory boards and executive committees. He also has a Master’s of Science in Information Systems from Pace University along with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science.
